PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Sales & Marketing Assistant is responsible for providing support the Sales and Marketing team in executing elements of the sales and marketing function.

KEY DUTIES & RESPOSNSIBILITIES

SALES / MARKETING
• Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Monitor and analyse marketing campaigns performance and provide insights for improvement.
• Manage and update the hotel’s online presence, including website and social media
• Hosting educational visits, media, PR and Rep trips and co-ordinating photo shoots.
• Complete sales-related and marketing administrative projects that include running marketing and sales reports
• Hosts all trade partners on-site inspections, attends all marketing related meetings for
GUEST RELATIONS
• Create a hospitable and inviting environment for all guests, ensuring a positive experience from arrival through departure
• Manage and update guest profiles and preferences to provide personalized service and improve future interactions.
• Track customer satisfaction trends and work with other departments to implement
• Review and respond to guest feedback and online reviews in a timely, empathetic, and

ACTIVITY DESK MANAGEMENT

• Manage the day-to-day functions of the activity desk, ensuring smooth scheduling and coordination of safari excursions and guest activities.
• Growing profitability contribution of the Sedia activity desk
• Design and implement a diverse range of engaging activity programs tailored to enhance guest experience and satisfaction.
• Build and maintain relationships with local tour operators and suppliers to secure reliable, high-quality excursions and ensure timely confirmation of bookings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Marketing, Hospitality and Tourism, or Business Management.
• Two (2) years in the hospitality industry.
• Must have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft productivity tools inter alia
Outlook, Word, Excel, and Planner.

SKILLS & KEY COMPTENCIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of social media platforms.
• Excellent time management or ability to manage workflow to meet deadlines.
• An eye for detail and the ability to maintain a very high level of accuracy
