SALARY SCALE: D3 (P293,652 – P323,748) per annum
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
BENEFITS:
(i) Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% and Employee pays 50%).
(ii) Contributory Pension Scheme (Government pays 15% and employee contributes 5% of basic salary).
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have at least a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
Applicants should have registered with Quantity Surveyors Registration Council as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience in the Quantity Surveying work environment, two (2) years of which should have been served at D4 salary scale or equivalent level in the public service.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To plan and evaluate building projects financial and technical resources during the life cycle of projects and ensure value for money.
DUTIES
Scrutinize consultant claims and prepares payment certificates.
Participate in the evaluation and appointment of consultants for construction projects for use by the Ministry of Finance or other client ministries.
Monitor consultant performance, review and verify financial/technical performance reports.
Monitor and control use of resources needed for projects.
Prepare cost estimates for building projects and monitor expenditure for building projects for the Ministry of Finance.
Prepare and maintain Bills of Quantities.
Identify and describe the work (Taking-off quantities) by translating architectural and engineering drawings into actual work to be done on site.
Prepare work program and tender documents.
Prepare tender notice and invite bidders.
Undertake any other related duty as required to meet the exigencies of the service.
