Purpose

The store manager is responsible for running the store successfully by working on the shop floor and also being in constant contact with customers and staff. They are also responsible for ensuring the staff give great customer service as well as monitoring the financial performance of the store, including the Inventory management and controls to reduce Stock losses.

Duties & Responsibilities

– Prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
– Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget.
– Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel.
– Manage all areas of daily business operations, human resources, customer service and merchandising.
– Train staff on how to drive sales through consistent development of product knowledge and customer service standards.
– Maintain proper inventory controls, facilitate inventory transaction, and bulk count as guided by Area Manager /Management.
– Receiving, unpacking, and arranging new shipment from warehouse.
– Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or display.
– Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store.
– Resolving customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
– Ensure store compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
– Ensuring that store policies and procedures are followed.

Minimum Requirements & Experience

• Diploma/ Degree in Business Management/ Retail Management
• Advanced customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience dealing with customers.
• Good knowledge of Accounting
• Proven knowledge and expertise with the industry or products sold by the company.
• Previous retail management experience (added advantage)
