About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our infrastructure development team, focusing on water reticulation systems and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing water infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient distribution systems and structural integrity in line with engineering and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee the construction of pipelines, pump stations, and related water infrastructure.

• Prepare technical drawings, engineering specifications, and construction documentation.

• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for new projects.

• Perform hydraulic modeling and calculations for water distribution systems.

• Supervise contractors, monitor project milestones, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.

• Engage regularly with consultants and approve civil works before handover.

• Collaborate with contractors, specialists, surveyors, and government teams on multidisciplinary projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Registered or eligible for registration with a recognised engineering council (e.g., ERB, ECSA).

• Minimum 15 years of experience Civil Engineering experience 2 years in water reticulation or urban infrastructure projects.

• Proficient in design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, EPANET).

• Strong knowledge of civil works construction methods and contract management.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Desirable Attributes

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Strong analytical and technical reporting skills.

• Experience working with government or donor-funded infrastructure projects is an added advantage.
