Pacers Experiential Events is a premier events venue in Thamaga, Botswana, catering to corporate, social, and cultural gatherings. Offering flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, the venue can host events such as festivals, exhibitions, weddings, conferences, and community functions. The dual-location approach ensures a broader market reach, leveraging the growing demand for high-quality event spaces in Botswana.
The Role:
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our venue. As the first point of contact for clients, guests, and vendors, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the smooth operation of events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors with warmth and professionalism.
* Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries with prompt and clear communication.
* Manage appointment scheduling, venue tours, and calendar coordination.
* Provide administrative support to the events and operations teams.
* Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
* Ensure guests are directed appropriately and receive the information they need.
* Assist with basic office duties such as filing, data entry, and invoicing support.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role (hospitality/event industry preferred).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Professional appearance and demeanor
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment
* Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends depending on events
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a receptionist or front desk role, preferably in an event, hospitality, or a customer-facing environment.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and booking software (e.g., EventPro, VenueOps, or similar will be added advantage).
* Positive attitude and polished appearance.
* Availability of working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
