ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT – Freebird Poultry

Freebird Poultry is looking for an Assistant Accountant.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant located in Francistown. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, including maintaining financial records, managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts. Additionally, the Assistant Accountant will assist with budget preparation, manage invoices, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax authorities. The role requires close collaboration with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Accounting Software and Spreadsheet Applications
• Experience in Financial Reporting and Record-Keeping
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
• Excellent Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills
• Ability to Communicate Effectively with Team Members and Stakeholders
• Understanding of Financial Regulations and Compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, AAT, part Qualified ACCA or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years  experience in an accounting or finance role is a plus
