GRADUATE MINE SURVEYOR (3)

JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. (JCHX) has been awarded a five-year contract for underground mining services at MMG’s Khoemacau Copper Mine in Botswana. JCHX, a global mining contractor with nearly 30 years of experience, will be responsible for the development and operation of the underground mine. The project is seen as a significant step towards MMG’s goal of increasing copper production at Khoemacau.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Graduate Mine Surveyor, you will work within JCHX’s underground mining operations to provide accurate surveying services, ensuring compliance with safety standards, project plans, and regulatory requirements. This role offers hands-on experience in underground mine surveying, mentorship from industry experts, and opportunities for career growth.

Key Position Responsibilities

• Carry out all survey tasks as requested by the Senior Mine Surveyor;
• Ensure routine tasks are performed in accordance with survey procedures and standards;
• Conducting survey pickups, CMS and scans for the development of as- built data for development, production advance, and reported volumes;
• Assist with the collection and processing of survey data, production of plans, reports, and other forms of spatial information, including systems to ensure integrity and continued availability of data;
• Installing survey control stations to industry best practice methods, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering or BSc. In Geomatics/ geodesy / Surveying Engineering.
• Valid Class ‘B’ Driver’s Licence.
• Physically fit and able to pass pre-employment medical examinations.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in surveying industry.
