WE ARE HIRING EXECUTIVE CHEF

LOCATION: MAUN I REPORTING TO THE GENERAL MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for ensuring that standards and quality of the food production and hygiene within the kitchen is maintained at the highest level at all times, i.e: developing and implementing menus to cater for all guests. Developing and implementing culinary training programs to support and guide junior chefs as well further career growth and culinary knowledge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Overseeing all the company’s hotel culinary operations.
– Menu planning and development
– Budgeting and cost control
– Development in-house training programs and standard operating procedures
– Procurement of relevant products and equipment
– Assisting in the recruitment of chefs
– Ensuring quality standards and guest satisfaction
– Ensuring the implementation of kitchen hygiene practices and safety standards
– Ensuring compliance of relevant regulations
– Must be an all-rounder chef

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

– Diploma in culinary Arts or higher
– At least 5 years’ experience as a chef
– Formal qualification in culinary Arts
– Experience in Training and Development of staff
– Knowledge in wine pairing (wine course would be beneficial)
– Ability to lead and manage a team of 15 staff members
– Experience in food costing and budgeting
– Additional culinary qualification would be an added advantage
