1. FACULTY OF EDUCATION

Department of Educational Foundations

Lecturer in Counselling and Human Services (Contract Position) *REF: Vacancy No. IRC 2828

REQUIREMENTS:

applicants should have: (i) PhD in any of the following areas: Counsellor Education and Supervision, Counselling and Human Services, Guidance and Counselling, Mental Health Counselling, School Counselling, Counselling Psychology, and Marriage and Family Counselling. N.B. Counselling and Human Service or a related field with a Master’s degree in Counselling and Human Service, Guidance and Counselling or related field with a relevant Bachelor’s degree or cognate field with at least 20 pass or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances

UNIVERSITY TEACHING EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT: Added advantage.

Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to:(i) teach counsellor education courses, participate in clinical counselling supervision, practicum and internship supervision. (ii) provide academic leadership through the enhancement of teaching, research, professional or community service; (iii) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department
