PUBLIC RELATIONS, COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING CONSULTANT

Key Performance Areas
• Assists it the implementation of Marketing and Communications projects/exercises as identified from time to time
• Updates status reports weekly and assists in getting quotations from suppliers
• Maintains the filing system and keeps records of all the internal are external communications, including that of BLIL competitors:
• Assist in the assessment of sponsorship proposals using the BLIL CSI criteria and framework
• Assist in ensuring than the external and internal newsletters are Published every quarter
• Actively follows up outstanding merchandise or collateral from advertising agencies and assist in dispatch of promotional items to the relevant stakeholders
• Processes purchase order requisitions

 

• Ensures timely responses to all correspondence received into the Marketing and Communications Department
• Ensures outgoing correspondence from the Marketing and Communications Department conforms to BLIL’s corporate identity guidelines
• Perform a variety of clerical tasks related to typed material such as filling, preparing mail, photocopying and/ or record keeping
• Assists in establishing and maintaining administrative and Procedures within the Marketing and Communications Department
• Monitors all media activities for BLIL as well that of BLIL direct competitors
• Prepares all Internal Marketing briefs to ensure that all internal stakeholders are aware of Marketing campaigns / initiatives
• Provides all Botswana Life branches with adequate and appropriate merchandising
• Acts as a brand champion by ensuring all stakeholders involved in displaying the BLIL brand conform to brand guidelines

 

• Assists with the department’s administrative assignments and is custodian of the Merchandise Shop
• Assists the PR Executive by exploiting all possible Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives from a Marketing and Communications perspective

Experience/Knowledge and Skills
• Two (2) years’ related work experience
• Excellent interpersonal relations
• Proficiency in Computer Applications (at least Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong planning anc organising skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Qualifications
• Degree in Public Relations. Marketing and or Business or any related field. CoP is an added advantage
