Ref: PS001: CASE MANAGER
Purpose of Job
Reporting to the Patient Admin Services Manager the successful candidates will be responsible for managing the financial and clinical risks of patients admitted in Specialized Units and general wards by ensuring accurate coding and clinical updates in order to achieve strategic objectives
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timeous update of patients accounts as per policies
- Ensure timeous accurate clinical coding i.e. CPT & ICD-10 on all admitted cases
- Maintains and foster healthy relationships with both Internal and External stakeholders
- Updates length of hospital stay and level of care and Funder benefits to minimize financial risk in order to ensure operational excellence.
- Identifies and monitors risks, implement corrective action as advised
- Monitors adherence to the Patient Services procedures and policies
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Degree in Nursing or equivalent
Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana
Experience
Three (3) years’ experience in a similar position in a healthcare environment preferably in a Private Hospital.
