DUTIES |
Procurement
|
Delivers own areas of responsibility and/or supports others by following established procurement systems and protocols.
Performs standard administrative data processing tasks (e.g., materials requisitions, time and expense recording, etc.) for the Procurement Sourcing Lead. Identifies potential sources of supply in order to ensure continuity of supply. Prepares and sends out requests for quotations to potential suppliers in order to obtain competitive prices and terms. Evaluates quotations and makes recommendations in order to ensure cost effective purchases. |
Supply Chain Management | Performs designated supplier management activities to deliver own prescribed outcomes and/or provide support to others by using existing systems and protocols. |
Contract Management | Performs simple contract management tasks by following established procedures in order to support others. |
Document Preparation | Organizes and prepares complex documents by using multiple computer applications (such as Microsoft Office), while also gathering and summarizing data for special reports.
Compiles and provides procurement statistics to the Procurement and Sourcing Lead for preparation of monthly reports. Prepares public tender advertisements and forms of tenders. Evaluates tenders, prepares reports for submission to approval authority. |
Client and Customer Management | Carries out prescribed internal and external client management activities and provides support to others by following existing procedures. |

A recognized Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain
At least three (3) years in Procurement Management.
