Job title: Chief of Party – Accelerating Progress in Communities (APC) in Botswana
FHI 360 seeks qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Party (COP) for the anticipated Accelerating Progress in Communities (APC) Project in Botswana. APC seeks to advance and support community programs that improve access to care/treatment and retention on care/treatment in seven PEPFAR priority districts to achieve the global 90-90-90 targets. At the community level, the project works to engage communities through Community Based Organizations (CBOs), local leaders, and community members to become active participants in addressing the HIV & AIDS challenges that affect their communities, using a combination of community outreach, community HTS, and community TB approaches, together with strengthened referrals for clinical services. In addition to the shift to treatment and care interventions at the community level, APC targets adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) to increase their access to HIV and GBV prevention interventions, and decrease gender-based violence, discrimination, and other barriers to HIV prevention, treatment, and care.
The COP will provide overall direction, leadership, and management oversight to the APC project; oversees operations; leads and manages the entire project team; serves as the primary FHI 360 representative for the project; and ensures strong collaboration with the Government of Botswana, USAID, and civil society partners.
