Introduction
Our client a training institute is looking for a Sales Manager to provide sales management and sales team development support services to the company.
Specification
• Sales Manager to be based in Gaborone on a full-time basis.
• Meet new and existing Clients to introduce the company and make general sales.
• Meet sales targets and ensure sales team meets sales targets individually.
• Manage and continue to establish a team of 4+ sales people,
• Continue developing company CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data,
• Work with the sales team to develop and implement lead-scoring criteria,
• Work with the MD/OD to set revenue and sales goals (monthly, quarterly, and annual),
• Work with senior management to devise and implement go-to-market strategies,
• Analyse the local market, competitive landscape, and economic indicators to provide input into the forward strategic planning,
• Provide input into the product mix, and selling prices by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors offerings,
• Analyse, establish and execute the presales processes and strategy with OD,
• Leverage existing and potential channel partnerships to increase sales efficiency,
• Gauge and increase customer satisfaction/customer retention and create strategies for upselling,
• Create and implement ongoing sales training programmes with OD to help each salesperson to reach their targets,
• Mentor the sales team and nurture relationships in order to help them achieve their goals,
• Monitor and evaluate sales rep progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning behavior with performance expectations,
• Provide on-the-ground support for sales reps as they generate leads and close new deals,
• Ensure accurate reporting on lead generation and sales efforts, including data and metrics to provide detailed information about pipeline status,
• Lead weekly and monthly sales meetings to motivate the sales team, providing new and innovative training and information on an ongoing basis,
• Provide weekly sales updates to senior leadership and other departments as needed or requested,
• Provide market recommendations and customer feedback to the executive team,
• Travel (as required) to meet with potential and existing clients in Francistown and other towns, as well as field sales reps,
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies and business networking,
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed,
• Assist Clients with Work Skills plans, training Needs Analysis’s and implementing training into Clients training schedule .
• Develop and maintain top executive relationships with Clients to drive mass sales.
• Introduce Clients to Service Level Agreements, sign up the Clients and nurture training relationships.
• Give input and liaise with MD and Sales Reps regarding general marketing and social media marketing, advertising and promotions.
• Liaison with and represent when required with HRDC, BQA and any other entities as required by the Company.
• Monitor and evaluate sales rep progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning behavior with performance expectations,

Requirements
As the Sales Manager the candidate will provide sales management and sales team development support services to the company and the Sales Team.
Market to companies around Botswana, sell training to these companies, providing input into advertising strategies and all other sales and marketing related duties.
Introduce the training services such as training needs analysis, assistance with planning the HRDC Work Skills plan etc.
The main sales goal is to get companies to sign service level agreements with the company in order for it to provide all of their training needs.
To liaise and report to the Managing Director and the Operations Manager.
