Salary: B2/B1 (60,600 – 84,972)
Leave: 20 working days per annum
Qualifications: BGCSE Certificate plus either a National Certificate in Secretarial Studies, Intermediate Typewriting, Advanced Typewriting or either equivalent.
Experience: At least two (2) years experience in Secretarial duties.
Benefits: Contributory Pension Scheme (Government pays 15% and Employee pays 5%).
Optional Contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% and Employee pays 50%)
Main Purpose of the Job
To type copy manuscripts and draft materials, including complex tabulation and reports with an advanced layout.
Duties:
1. Type letters, Savingrams, minutes, memoranda, notes and report from a manuscript or other drafted material.
2. Type office correspondence as well as private correspondence for Member of Parliament.
3. Makes any necessary copies using a photocopier.
4. Refers confusing instructions, identifies poor grammar on similar problems to author for clarification and resolution.
5. Checks own typed work and make necessary corrections, makes further corrections or amendments following proof reading by author.
6. Keeps computer clean, feeds paper and printer effects other routine maintenance. Notifies supervisor of need for technical repair as necessary.
