Main Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Head of Client Services, the incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of Advisory Services and Agency Business for National Development Bank in line with the Letsema 2019-2020 Strategy. The position will be tenable in Gaborone.

- Management of Agency including insurance and Advisory Services business function
- Manage the insurance Agency and Advisory Services team through effective leadership and ability to generate respect and achieve strategic goals
- Development of Strategic Alliances with potential partners to expand Agency Business
- Effectively drive cross selling initiatives within various business units and stakeholders to maximise performance of the Agency and Advisory Service Business
- Management of annual budgets, resource management and allocation to optimize utilization of available resources to achieve set objectives that supports strategic direction of growing Advisory Services and Agency Business
- Training of Sales Teams and other key stakeholders on Advisory Services and Agency Business, including Insurance Agency
- Generation of monthly performance reports to guide Strategic direction of the Agency and management of operational risk across the function which will include but not limited to centralization of insurance operations and negotiation with the Broker to drive efficiencies and performance, COP and CPD requirements and prudential rules
- Compliance and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements
- Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance or equivalent coupled with a COP (Short Term or Long Term)
- Professional Membership in related disciplines will be an added advantage
- At least 5 years post qualification Insurance experience in Short Term and Long Term Insurance underwriting, within Insurance industry or Financial Services Sector of which 2 years should have been at Management level
- Sound knowledge of banking products and systems
