Develops products by identifying potential products; conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications. production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies Also manages opportunities from qualification through to contract award, including value proposition/strategy development, solution development, commercial considerations, partner identification, and risk management.
Key Performance Areas
Product Development and Management
- Puts in place a product/service development and management policy and approach and ensures the adherence to that policy when introducing new products, removal of existing ones or enhancements across the entire business.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products.
- Establishes product market share by working with senior management to develop product sales strategies
- Manages product profitability and commercial success
- Works with the Operations Team and Sales Leads for developing products/services and their pricing.
- Tracks product performance, including sales trends, margins, market share, probability and shares reports with the Management team.
- Manages all aspects of In-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and related issues.
- Managing the bidding projects/process
- Manages the bidding process end-to-end. involving cooperating roles from within the company (eg. Pricing. Technology, legal.
- Ensures each bid complies with internal governance and is fully compliant with customer specifications.
- Develops and agrees on KPI, measures, and targets for bid performance, monitoring performance against agreed targets.
- Develops bid pricing and appropriate margin strategy and ensures timely approval by
Customer engagement and Negotiations
- Takes part in customer-facing negotiation meeting and calls
- Proactively monitors engagement dashboard performance and recommend go-to-market (GTM) improvement strategies along with the Sales team
- Manage a structured and effective client retention strategy
- Ensures that all service delivery agreements with customers are documented and properly communicated to finance and operations departments.
- Ensures that properly motivated renewal justifications where required ate done and discussed with customers where necessary.
Health and Safety
- Participates in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
- Participates in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talks.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, IT or a technical field
- PRINCE 2/PM certificate.
- Good conflict resolution skills.
- 5+ years of marketing, development, sales, or product management experience.
- Tech savvy and Innovative.
