Admissions Officer is responsible for recruiting, admitting, enrolling and academic welfare in relation to the College’s enrollment. The Admissions Officer shall support and assist recruitment and admission efforts and activities of the College while promoting quality enrollment planning and data management to facilitate institutional effectiveness in
a) Student Recruitment and Enrollment
b) Enrollment Administration
c) Enrollment and academic advising to learners
d) Student welfare
The responsibility of the Admissions Officer will be to closely analyse and report fortnightly on recruitment, admission, enrollment, and learner class attendance and retention patterns in collaboration with the College’s faculties.
The Admissions Officer will regularly collaborate with academic department coordinators and heads of departments to closely monitor academic life of enrolled students to facilitate retention and successful completion of the enrolled students. Furthermore, the Admissions Officer will need to ensure that quality records are created and effectively managed for every enrolled student across the various digital tools and systems intended for record keeping and management.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Analyse, process, and manage prospective student applications according to admission standards and
regulations.
2. Provide accurate guidance and information to prospective students on programmes offered, admissions
processes and eligibility, and tuition fees.
3. Follow-up with prospective students on their queries via email, phone, SMS, and in-person.
4. Assists and support Admissions Coordinator with effective implementation of processes, procedures and
activities on student recruitment, admission, enrolment, and welfare.
5. Work closely with Financial Aid office to provide scholarships and tuition assistance if required.
6. Handles recruitment, admissions and enrolment of prospective students and prepares fortnightly reports and
analysis.
7. Participate in annual recruitment fairs, events, information sessions and country-wide student recruitment
initiatives.
8. Enforces a Continuous Enrolment Policy (CEP) which requires that all students enrolled in all available College programmes are registered each semester until they complete their programme of study.
9. Handles student registration processes, records creation and management of individual learner records and shares student registers promptly for student allowance processing.
10. Ensures that individual student records are entered in digital systems with hard copies of records logged with Records management Office promptly following official registration.
11. Monitors student performance in collaboration with the College faculties and the Examinations Office, in
relation to lesson attendance with regular follow-ups and reports submitted pertaining to referral cases from department coordinators.
12. Analyse student pass rates and retention and refer identified (worrisome) cases to the Admissions
Coordinator.
13. Provide statistical data and analysis on enrolments, withdrawals, and update Admissions Coordinator on a regular basis.
14. Actively participate in relevant College committees as assigned to enhance institutional effectiveness and recruitment activities.
15. Attend to correspondences from students and their parents/guardians.
16. Compile monthly reports on statistical information and other key aspects of admissions related work and matters.
17. Other projects/duties as assigned by the Admissions Coordinator.

1. Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
Outlook, and Access) and system applications and student information systems.
2. Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
3. Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Elevated level of professionalism, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships
5. Good communication skills, written and oral.
6. Ability to work as part of a team and support the objectives of the department.
7. Passionate, enthusiastic, and a team player with good judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing needs and priorities.
8. Demonstrates tact in dealing with differing ideas and opinions.
9. Understands the importance of maintaining and protecting confidential information.
Minimum Requirement:
Qualifications
Degree or advanced diploma in marketing, communications or business administration or any related field.
Professional Experience
Two (2) or more years of admissions, recruitment or marketing experience at a reputable organization.
