Company: | Scania Botswana (Pty) Ltd is the distributor for Scania heavy commercial trucks buses and engines. Scania operates from two dealerships in Botswana with a total of 5 service locations. The company offers equipment sales, after sales services and product support to all Scania vehicles operating within Botswana and has the following open vacancy for Botswana based applicants. |
Role Description: | The Regional Service Manager is responsible for the managing and development of the overall Scania After sales business within Botswana. He/she is responsible for the strategic management of the service and support operations in Botswana, as well as implementing targets, policies, procedures and common standards while promoting the Scania brand. |
Positions based in: | Gaborone Botswana. |
Reports to: | Managing Director. |
Education / Experience: | The successful candidate must be able to provide proof of below:
-Education in the relevant discipline. •Relevant business and technical knowledge and experience in a similar role.

COVER LETTERS FOR P50 -Extensive After sales experience with successful track record. -Extensive managerial and leadership experience with relevant business knowledge. -Sound knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle industry. -Effective negotiation and influencing skills. -Clear understanding of management accounts and budget forecasts. -Ability to identify business opportunity and develop service dealer network. -Computer proficiency; preferably Microsoft Word / Excel / Powerpoint and Automoster or similar management system. |
Essential Duties / Responsibilities: | The successful candidate must be able to:
•Develop the Scania After soles business, products and services through effective marketing activities. -Develop and implement improvement strategies to maximise market penetration and profitability. •Responsible for developing and managing the After Sales financial and operating targets, ensuring that the appropriate measures are in place to achieve these targets. •Responsible for the overall customer satisfaction within the after-sales organization. -Manage personnel requirements, recruiting, development and conducting of performance assessments. •Work in co-operation with other departments and regional business unit to achieve common objectives. -Ensure appropriate resources and structures are in place to provide technical support to the network and customer base. |
