Job Title: ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Reporting To: Human Resources Manager
Purpose of Job: The role exists to provide human resources service to all employees as well as perform all human resources administration and clerical duties
Key Performance Areas:
- Ensure training takes place as planned
- Reconcile claims with training costs
- Recruitment planning and selection
- Coordinate induction processes and ensure smooth on-boarding
- Coordinate probation monitoring and conduct exit interviews
- Compile weekly HR statistics on overtime, absenteeism and sick leave
- Coordinate the employee relations climate survey and data analysis for management reporting Ensure proper stock rotation per required standards
- Attend disciplinary and grievance hearings and take and produce minutes of the same
- Represent the Company at mediations held with the Department of Labour
- Process and submit work permits for expatriate employees and business related visits
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Personnel Management/HR/Business Administration
- 3 years’ experience in Personnel Management
- Knowledge of Botswana Labour legislation
Competencies:
- Attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (English and Setswa- na)
- Microsoft Office
- Strong Industrial relations background and Botswana Labour Legislation
- Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality
- Good presentation skills, planning and organising
- Governance, policies and procedures
