SENIORITY LEVEL: Non-management

FUNCTION: Finance

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary package + excellent benefits

LOCATION: Botswana, Gaborone 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• To support the Finance Controller: Central Cluster with the management of monthly, quarterly and year end reporting processes and ensuring that financial records are accurate, and all deadlines are achieved
• Monthly MOPE (rolling budget) preparations & disclosures
• The improvement of financial processes and policies
• Perform periodic tasks as articulated below, amongst others,
• Review of trial balances (balance sheet and income statements) to ensure monthly reports are accurate
• Reviewing and monitoring costs centres for brand support expenditure and non-brand support expenditure
• Preparation of monthly reports, amongst others Exceptional Cost Reporting, Brand Support Expenditure Trackers
• Preparation of Credit Committee packs
• Weekly review of local and foreign payment proposals and facilitation of the payments to B&N vendors
• Preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts
• Ensure accuracy of fixed assets registers
• Review of Monthly VAT and Withholding Tax Returns
• Ad hoc support in ensuring that invoices are accurately coded, and that master data for vendors are accurate to facilitate on time and in full payment of suppliers
• Active participation in ad-hoc and periodic meetings with Area and Shared Service stakeholders

• The jobholder must be a good communicator
• Possess excellent influencing skills
• An ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company and externally
• Ability to manage several tasks at one time
• Creative problem-solving capabilities is a requirement
• Highly proactive
• Operate under tight deadlines

  KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS

• A financial background
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• A professional accountancy qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA – completed or in progress) is mandatory
