Protea Hotel by Marriott Masa Square is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position:

 

JOB TITLE:  Painter

REPORTING TO: Repairs and Maintenance Manager

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Permanent

 

Main Responsibilities

• To fix and repair wall cracks
• Ensure that all rooms are in good maintenance throughout hotel premises at all times
• To cover floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint
• Setting up safety equipment to protect Painters from unhealthy fumes
• Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth
• Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them
• Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers throughout hotel premises
• Ensure full adherence to Company processes and procedures
• Any other related duties assigned to you by Management

 

Qualification and Experience required

• NCC or Trade Test B in Painting or related field
• Minimum of 1 year experience in painting field

• Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards.
• Good planning and organization skills.
• Thorough attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
