JOB SUMMARY
- To provide a reliable and regular sales service
- To strive to meet client expectations through, slock availability, right pricing, and effective customer service
- To provide management with maximum trade feedback and to continually identify potential customers and to conduct market survey
The principal responsibilities shall include the following:

- Ensures that clients are fully aware of the entire product range carried, as a result of the knowledge develop greater interest in acquiring the product
- Ensures regular meetings are held with store managers/main buyers to discuss any issues/ placing large orders
- Service calls according to call cycle, using this as the opportunity to introduce new products and to assess product movement and review progress of sales strategies
- Accountable for effective implementation of applicable sales deals, ensuring that these meet with client approval and are adopted
- Ensures promotions running in stores are executed well and are aligned with POS material Ensures price survey is done on a month-to-month basis and reported to the Sales Manager on set deadline
- Ensures maximum utilization of space allocated on and off shelf, ensuring that products are readily available and within reach Ensures maximum utilization of P.O.S for all products represented, such that there are visible and readily available to the clients
- Participate fully on all Foods Botswana events which include new store openings, customer days, product launches, special promotions and ensure merchandising is done well to maximum sales and product awareness
- Achieves sales target, while working within expenditure limits, to ensure achievement of profit margins and remain cost effective Identifies problems /obstacles and resolves them at store level, refers major issues for attention and guidance of management with the aim of preserving relations and ensuring continuity Supervises Depot employees including Merchandisers, Reid Marketers and Wet activation team
- Prepares and presents sales reports, to make information available and facilitate management decision- making
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Sales and Marketing or equivalent
- Customer Relations Training
- A valid driver’s license
- Three (3) years’ experience in FMCG and manufacturing industry
- Exposure to customer service, product management, market analysis and research will be an added advantage
