A Vacancy exists in the Industrial Court. The Industrial Court is a court of law and equity, which exists to provide a professional, efficient, effective, and just service in the settlement of trade disputes. court.
⦁ Provides guidance to junior staff.
⦁ Deposits delivered judgment into the database.
⦁ Implements set standards.
KEY COMPETENCIES

VACANCY: Executive Court Reporter II – tenable in Gaborone Writing and Reporting Learning and Researching
SALARY SCALE: D3 (P 266, 340 -293,640 per annum)
BENEFITS:

QUALIFICATION
To be considered for appointment, applicants must have at least a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or any related field.
EXPERIENCE
At least (8) years experience in Court Reporting of which two years should have been at D4 salary scale.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide Court reporting, secretarial services and office management to Industrial Court
Judges.
DUTIES
⦁ Records and transcribes verbatim proceedings in the Court.
⦁ The study of the case file for each case before the start of each Court session.
⦁ Types of judgments, rulings, and orders from Honourable Judges.
⦁ Researches the cases cited in the court sessions to ensure accurate citations and quotations in preparation for judgments.
⦁ Plans and monitors the work of the assigned Court.
⦁ Records minutes during initial case management conference meeting.
⦁ Provides general secretarial services for correspondence in Chambers.
⦁ Makes travel arrangements, i.e. reserves flights, hotel accommodation and prepares and retires imprest for Honourable Judges.
⦁ Compiles documents and materials required by Honourable Judges in the Court for their meetings and appointments.
⦁ Researches collates, and summarises information from files, documents and other materials as required by Honourable Judges in the assigned Court. Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations
