Statistics Botswana is a Parastatal Organisation established under the Statistics Act, of 2009. The role of Statistics Botswana is multi-faceted and, as the pre-eminent agency responsible for the development and management of official statistics, its duties include and are not limited to, the collection, processing, analysis, publishing, and disseminating of official statistics in areas such as commercial and industrial activities, agricultural, social, economic, environmental, energy, communications, and household conditions.
The organization is searching for a highly motivated, creative and innovative professional, with solid all-around Human Resources and Administration experience, to fill the position of Human Resources & Administration Manager.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the position will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising support functions related to human resource management & administration, as well as, creating a proper work environment for the team, and managing its resources to achieve its goals.

THE JOB
The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:
⦁ Participating in the preparation of Statistics Botswana’s strategy, operating plans, and budgets.
⦁ Developing, reviewing, and ensuring implementation of policies and strategies necessary for fulfilling the division’s mandate.
⦁ Aligning the division’s operations with the overall mission, vision, and values of Statistics Botswana.
⦁ Ensuring the provision of efficient Human Resources and Administration services to support operations.
THE PERSON
The right candidate will possess the following:
⦁ A minimum of a Post Graduate Degree in Human Resource Management, or any other related field, from a recognized institution, plus a minimum of five (5) years of progressive work experience in Human Resource Management, including 3 years in a managerial position.
⦁ Knowledge of Botswana Labour laws, as well as, of best practices in Human Resource policies, procedures, processes, and strategies.
⦁ Specialized training in compensation, organization development, change management, employee relations, performance management, and capacity building would be an added advantage.
