Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the strategic planning and reporting framework, including the setting of the strategy roadmap, cascading of corporate plans into departmental plans, and monitoring of progress against targets.
The Job
The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:
- Developing of strategies and plans in line with corporate goals, as well as, successful implementing, monitoring and evaluating thereof against targets.
- Directing BEC’s strategic and long-term goal planning, facilitating the development, reviewing, as well as, updating of the Board-wide strategic plan.
- Overseeing the conduct of strategic research and analysis to inform executive decision making and planning.
- Preparing periodic performance reports to drive strategy and planning.
- Providing high quality expert advice, facilitating strategic thinking and optimise the strategic planning processes.
The Person
The right candidate will possess the following:
- A minimum of a Masters Degree in Business, Public Administration, Management Science, Operations Research, Organisational Behaviour, Statistics or a relevant field, from a recognised institution.
- Professional certification in Strategic Management.
- At least ten (10) years’experience post-qualification, including at least four (4) years in a middle management position.
