Team Leader Sales & Services- Gaborone
The incumbent will be expected for originating new business, retain current business and identify opportunities to cross- and upsell the bank’s products, services and solutions to meet the Sales & Service Centre’s revenue, profitability and customer service targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Source clients through referrals and continuously source new target markets through market research.
- Attending to walk-in customers, using influence to get them to buy specific products or services.
- Identify and pursue cross-sell opportunities for existing customers within specific segments, particularly in relation to new products and solutions.
- Interact closely with customers to respond to their queries (telephonically, via email or in person), visit clients around the country and cross-sell other services.
- Verifying customers’ credit worthiness via ITC and CRB checks
- Comply with internal policies, procedures and relevant legislation at all times.
- Adhere to KYC and other compliance requirements at all times.
- Building sound internal and external relationships, displaying abilities to listen, direct, advise, influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Induct and train new Sales & Service Centre staff.
- Liaise with support departments to ensure retail and business banking needs are met within agreed SLA’s.
- Use influence with internal stakeholders to seek approvals where necessary.
- Actively develop customer contacts for retail and business banking within the community
- Build relationships with group and industry counterparts, including external peers at other banks, to share knowledge and lessons learnt and leverage opportunities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business.
- Certificate in Banking plus COP (Certificate of Proficiency) as required by NBFIRA.
- 4+ years’ retail banking experience with exposure to sales and client relationship management.
- Ability to negotiate and influence across all levels including senior stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Cold calling skills
- Sound presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of retail banking products and sales processes across multiple channels
- Accounting knowledge
- Credit and risk management knowledge
- Computer skill.
