IT Manager-Cards and ATMs, Gaborone
The incumbent will be expected to manage the Issuing and Acquiring technical teams and providing software and hardware support on VISA card issuing and acquiring systems (debit, credit, and prepaid cards), deliver consistent, high-quality, and high availability end user support for all card-based applications and end users. The role also requires providing specialist guidance on card applications solutions designs, requirements and optimizations to achieve the required demands from all business units, partners and customers at the required service and quality levels defined from time to time.

⦁ Ensure 24/7 high availability of the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications.
⦁ Provide leadership to the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications support team.
⦁ Manage/ drive enhancements requests on applications among the team members.
⦁ Translate business designs and expectations to Flexcube products.
⦁ Knowledgeable in Product setup across all the modules in Tieto. Mendix, CR2. Nl, RTPS. VISA Edit Package. HSMs, and others.
⦁ Ensures effective and efficient day to day operation with adherence to Request. Incident. Problem and Change Management processes and procedures within timeframes set by severity levels engaging various IT partners and business partners as required.
⦁ Ensures transitioning of applications in Development to Maintenance is done effectively with thorough analysis of impact of changes to operational processes and standards.
⦁ Act as the operational owner of all the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications and processes.
⦁ Act as single point of contact (SPOC) for the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications
⦁ Provide IT the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications vendor oversight for the key vendors supporting the bank.
⦁ Developing and maintaining the required support process and guides in accordance with the overall business continuity management requirements.
⦁ Implementing and maintaining the ITSCM Plans and recovery plans to ensure that, at all times, the recovery objectives of the business can be achieved.
⦁ Regularly testing the business continuity Plans for effectiveness, reviewing the results and taking action to overcome the identified deficiencies.
⦁ Achieve banking the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications availability and fitness of purpose to our customers and staff as per the SLA.
⦁ Ensure that banking the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications functions are processed efficiently, accurately and within cut off times.
⦁ Coordinates resources to install the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications software and hardware upgrades.
⦁ Develops IT budgets and assists leadership team with the research of IT needs for their respective departments.
⦁ Communicates changes in technology and services from the IT department to the appropriate channels and personnel.
⦁ Provides User support.
⦁ Provides Project management support especially change management processes.
⦁ Provides a single point of contact and management of all IT applications requests, communication, notifications, and escalations.
⦁ Manages IT Risk and Information Security management, enablement, and support.
⦁ Ensures Regulatory compliance for IT Services
⦁ Packages and compiles Management Information for all incidents on a daily and weekly basis.
⦁ Provide continuous updates on performance of the banking applications space.
⦁ Adhere to the bank’s code of conduct and values as revised from time from time.
⦁ Introduce, advise, support, and train the bank’s application end-users on new products, service and systems changes.
⦁ Provide team leadership, upskilling and implementation of the applicable IT and business strategies.
⦁ Manage key stakeholders such as external vendors and group counterparts.
⦁ Effective and efficient delivery of services to customer by other departments (with minimal down time).
Key Requirements
⦁ BSc in Computer Science or related discipline
⦁ 5+ years in the Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications systems experience.
⦁ Application development using Oracle development tools.
⦁ Card Issuing and Acquiring Applications Systems integration & middleware.
⦁ Microsoft SQL and Oracle database management
⦁ Knowledge of Oracle products and support including Oracle FLEXCUBE will be an added advantage.
⦁ Knowledge of Webservices Interfaces Support
⦁ Knowledge of Cheque and EFT payments processes.
