1. Developing and implementing company compliance policies.
2. Embedding company policies in the operational processes and procedures.
3. Implementing effective Know Your Customer (KYC) Policies, Processes and Procedures
4. Compile and submit all statutory returns in line with the set deadlines.
5. Ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Ensures compliance with all regulations affecting the business.
• Developing and implementing the company’s Risk Management Framework.
• Maintain and update the risk register on a quarterly basis.
Maintain and update the KYC information at all key phases of business processes (onboarding new clients, anniversary review, payments, and receipts of funds).
Checking and approving placing slips to make sure they are compliant with all regulations and contractual agreements. Checking and approving invoices to make sure all they are complaint with all Tax Laws and Contractual agreements. Checking and approving all debit notes to make sure they are compliant with tax laws and contractual agreements.
Performing KYC checks and approving payment requisitions in line with the KYC regulations.
Performing KYC and approving remittances for payments received to make sure all compliance requirements have been complied with.
Undertakes internal and external training initiatives to make the whole organization aware of compliance requirements and regulations.
Maintain a training register which should be updated on a monthly basis.
Provides leadership on the development of policies and operating procedures by ensuring adherence to best practice.
Provides leadership in monitoring risk and exposure on all agreements signed by the company.
• Approve all transactions processed through slips, credit notes and debit notes to ensure that all documents and contracts are compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain update the compliance register on a quarterly monthly basis.
• Provides leadership on the automation of processes and reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance ;
• 3 + years of experience in compliance related positions and or in a broking, insurance, or reinsurance environment;
• Proficient MS Office skills ;
• Ability to gather, organize and interpret information;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mature professional with leadership skills.
