POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Technical Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be a key player in providing cutting-edge financial management information and strategic advice to senior management and Heads of Departments. This role transcends traditional financial leadership, requiring a Finance Manager with a strong technical acumen to integrate technology and data insights Into decision-making processes.

1. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT WITH TECHNOLOGY INSIGHTS
• Lead financial processes with technology-driven solutions for efficiency.
• Utilize technology insights for variance analysis and trend identification.
• Implement data-driven decision-making for day-to-day operations.
2. BUSINESS ANALYSIS AND TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION
• Analyse the impact of process changes, incorporating technology solutions.
• Contribute to Board Dashboards with numerical and graphical information, highlighting technological advancements.
3. RISK MANAGEMENT AND CAPITAL RAISING
• Drive risk registers using technology tools and collaborate closely with the company risk coordinator.
• Leverage technology for impactful communication in presentations to potential investors.
4. STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
• Develop a clear and consistent communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed about financial performance, strategic initiatives, and potential challenges.
• Implement regular updates through newsletters, presentations, and meetings to ensure transparency and maintain a strong relationship with stakeholders.
• Integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors into financial reporting and strategy discussions.
• Engage stakeholders in conversations about the organization’s sustainability efforts and ensure transparency in reporting on ESG initiatives.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
1. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (BUDGETING, MONITORING & TRACKING)
• Lead financial processes with timely and accurate reporting.
• Utilize technology for detailed management accounts and variance analysis.
2. YEAR END FINANCIAL PLANNING
• Support year-end financial reporting and assist in future year budget preparation.
• Develop income plans with departmental Managers, leveraging techno ogy for accurate forecasting
3. BUSINESS ANALYSIS
• Contribute numerical and graphical information for Board Dashboards.
• Incorporate technology advancements into the development of financial policies and procedures.
4. RISK MANAGEMENT
• Drive risk registers using technology tools.
• Ensure closure of audit findings and assist procurement with technology-driven supplier evaluation.
5. CAPITAL RAISING
• Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Management on presentations to potential investors.
• Utilize technology in negotiating term sheets and deals with venture capital and private equity investors.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• 10 years post-qualification experience, preferably in an
insurance institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a ‘Big4’ Audit Firm (PWC, KPMG, Deloitte or EY).
• Mandatory Active Fellow Membership in BICA and ACCA
• Full membership of any recognised professional accounting Body.
• Exposure to a management accounting environment with advanced proficiency in Computer Applications (Word, Excel, Power Bl, and PowerPoint).
• Proven track record in implementing IFRS17
