CASE MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR: (1)
To be responsible for the co-ordination of the case management department. Ensure that case managers are providing comprehensive clinical information to the funders. To ensure that case managers are critically managing patients, have sufficient funding for the care to be rendered at the facility.

ROLE SUMMARY
• Manage all staff under your control (case managers, Authorisation clerks and ancillary staff)
• Liaise with doctors and funders on challenges and find lasting solutions.
• Ensure that the hospital is adequately covered for the services it renders to the patients.
• Liaise with debtors department and assist with short payments from funders relating to case management.
• To ensure all staff adhere to established policies and controls in transactions.
• Liaise with Government departments on LOGs and authorization documents.
• Interact with various staff on the correct billing of patients and debtors department on the status of the patients funding.
• Ensure that staff are capturing the correct ICD and CPD coding on claims.

Adhere to safety health and environment policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• A nursing qualification.
• ICD and CPT coding training
• A degree in the social sciences would be an added advantage.
• 6 years working experience as a Nurse, 4 of which should be at supervisory level.
• 8+ years’ experience in Case Management.
