Key Performance Areas:
•Management of the sales, marketing and merchandising functions
Management of key accounts including trading terms, pricing, promotions and service delivery
Maintain an excellent communication link with Wholesalers/Major chain stores, meeting with them and improve and/or maintain our relationship with them
Preparation and implementation of sales budget and tracking performance to KPI’s
Development and implementation of growth strategy for key categories
•Identifying consumer trends and preferences and assisting with new product development
•Produces monthly and quarterly sales review and submits regular reports to the business
•Prepare monthly promotional sales and marketing support grid
•Development, training and performance review of sales team
Minimum Requirements:
Technical Job Knowledge
Analytical thinking with problem solving skills
Planning and organizing skills
Coaching and leadership skills
Good personnel management skills with the ability to discipline
Competencies:
•Degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent
•Atleast 5 years of relevant experience
•Previous experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is essential
Job Title: Sales Manager (North)
Reporting To: Commercial Manager
Main Purpose of the Job
To achieve growth by setting goals for the team and produce monthly forecasting reports to monitor how well the business achieves the sales targets and budgets based on the sales strategy of the business
Key Performance Areas:
•Ensure promotional activities have been implemented and maintained
•Communicate promotional activities and sales targets to the field force
•Ensure sufficient stock has been ordered within required timeframes
•Ensure specific planograms and category flows are implemented and maintained
•Ensure shelf health is implemented and maintained Provide feedback to clients with regards to forward share changes
Ensure market share is reflected in the category Communicate sales targets to field force and increase volumes in stores
Monitor in- store pricing and ensure out of stocks are limited
Control expenses
Manage the resources required to ensure efficient and effective day – to day operations of store execution including flexible people and resource allocation
•Facilitate the implementation of promotion grids and understand objectives of various promotions to relevant parties
•Performs other related duties as directed
Minimum Requirements:
•Outstanding interpersonal communication
Problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Attention to detail
Team management skills
Good planning and organizing skills
Clear decision-making skills
Business acumen/ commercial awareness
Competencies:
•BCom or related tertiary business qualification
•4-5 years’ experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer
Goods (FMCG) at a managerial/supervisory level
