Component Manager – Urban Roads Infrastructure Investments

1. Initiates and coordinate project planning.
2. Supervises designs and prepares specifications for implementation of project activities.
3. Supervises the implementation of Greater Gaborone urban transport improvement activities to ensure that project activities are completed with the specified, quality, time, budget and scope.
4. Reviews/ checks the quality of project deliverables and recommends acceptance.
5. Supervises consultations with the community and other stakeholders for BITP prior to design and construction.

1. Leads consultations with Community and other stakeholders prior to design and construction.
2. Provides project related information to stakeholders.
3. Checks and certifies project fee note/interim payment certificates (IPCs).
4. Checks contracts agreement before signing
5. Supervise the procurement process of Greater Gaborone urban transport improvement project activities.
6. Prepares procurement documents for technical assistance required under the BITP.
7. Checks and consolidate budget estimates for Greater Gaborone urban transport improvement project activities.

1. Monitors project expenditure for Greater Gaborone urban transport improvement project activities to ensure that it is within budget.
2. Supervises and manages subordinates

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/ Highway Engineering. Master’s Degree in Traffic/Highway/Transport Engineering will be an added advantage.EXPERIENCE: A minimum of twelve (12) years post qualification experience in urban road design, construction and maintenance, o which five years are on traffic management and traffic engineering.
