Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is as follows:

To serve and cross sell at point of contact to Affinity Prestige current account holders by providing a known point of contact in the Branch/Executive Banking for Gold Customers.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Plan, initiate and drive the sales tactics (proactive cross selling for expansion) talking into account customer profile, competitor activities/product offerings and remote channels.
  • Manage sales, customers and behavioural risk indicator (BRI) per portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities for personal financial options that ensure customer retention is maintained by value added service resulting in growth and profitability of portfolio.
  • Promote products and services through a comprehensive understanding of the value of product/service offerings from a customer perspective and plans initiatives accordingly.
  • Promote the migration of customers from using the branch for support to using the dedicated suite/service centre.

 

Preferred Qualification and Experience

Preferred qualifications and experience are as follows:

  • First Degree
  • Tertiary qualifications, IOB certificate, personal financial planning, CAIB, B.Comm, B.Bus Sci.
  • Understanding of current business and economic issues and their impact on local markets.
  • Analyse customers’ financial behaviour and accounts to match their needs with products that will result in greater benefit for the customer and increased revenue for the banking group

 

 

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

Technical Knowledge required for the role are as follows:

  • Sound knowledge of the banks’ products and services including investment and protection products, product pricing, product combination possibilities, qualification criteria, features and relationship to other more specialised products.
  • Basic understanding of the wider range of Group company products available in respect of: service level agreements (criteria and customer expectations) and service provision networks (networking and facilitation internal service provision).
  • Basic knowledge of equivalent competitor products.
  • Working knowledge of Personal * Business Banking strategy and segment value proposition.
