Health & Safety Advisor
Summary
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibility of the health and safety resource on the project will be to ensure:
That the Hatch and Client health and safety strategy is implemented and enforced on the project, this will include but is not limited to:
- Incident management
- Risk management
- Health and Safety Reporting
- Contractor management and compliance
- Health and safety competency and training
- Behavior based safety approach using project systems and tools
- Emergency management and response
- Auditing
- Induction and training
Compliance to the health and safety legislative requirements applicable on the project
Provide assistance in all precontract, tender assessment and contract administration in relation to health and safety requirements and expectations
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- 3-5 years experience in health and safety, with at least 3 years on site experience on major construction projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A high level of computer skills
- A high level of organizational skills
- A passion for continual improvement of project health and safety performance
- Ability to lead and motivate on site project teams in health and safety.
- Fluent in English
Preferred
Formal health and safety qualifications, degree, diploma or similar vetted qualifications
