Key Responsibilities
- Trust Account Management in terms of the Legal Practitioners Regulations
- Bookkeeping, receipt and payment of client funds
- Preparation of reconciliations and record keeping
- Allocation of disbursements, preparation of client bills and following up on outstanding fees
- Process AP/AR, petty cash and expense claims using QuickBooks/Sage/Pastel
- Management of office expenses and preparation of internal financials
- Maintain timekeeping and billing system accuracy with fee earners.
- Prepare monthly cash flow and P&L for partners by day 10.
- File VAT, PAYE, WHT returns with BURS.
- Liaise with auditors for year-end and prepare working papers.
- Payroll processing
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified.
- 3+ years accounting experience. Law firm experience and BICA registration is an added advantage.
- Competence with FinTech platforms
- Trustworthy, versatile and good interpersonal skills
Salary
Competent remuneration based on competency and skill set as agreed with the firm and candidate.
