ACCOUNTS CLERK

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a systematic filing system for accounting records
• Accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Daily sales reconciliations
• Control Purchases and Stock Management-Reconciliations with GRNS
• Maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register ensuring all assets are correctly recorded, depreciated and tagged
• Petty cash management
• Collate payments for authorization
• Debtors management, collection and reconciliations
• Accurate and Timeous capturing of transactions
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports on time and accurately
• Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
• Month end cut-off procedures such as;
i.Debtors and Creditors reconciliations
ii. Cash count
iii. Stock verification
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
• Preparation and submission of VAT and Provisional tax returns
• Preparation of draft monthly management accounts
• Any other duties that may be assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Full qualified AAT
• BICA Registered
• Familiarity with accounting software, SAGE 200 added advantage
• Aptitude for numbers
• Hands on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Data entry and word processing skill
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Have a driver’s license
