FSG Assurance, a subsidiary of FSG Limited, is a leading funeral insurance agency in Botswana, with over 40 service centres across the country. Applications are invited from qualified Botswana citizens for the position of Accounts Executive tenable at Gaborone. Purpose Of The Job: Responsible for prospecting and identifying new business opportunities, building solutions suitable for clients’ needs, and managing corporate clients’ relationships, while expanding the company’s market share in the Insurance intermediary space. The role requires a strategic mindset to drive revenue goals through driving growth in sales and achieving long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new business and convert business leads
  • Drive the achievement of sales and new business targets
  • Actively manage client relationships focusing on retention and profitability of the portfolio
  • Drive the achievement of sales and new business targets
  • In-depth understanding of insurance products, policies and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth in our insurance offerings.
  • Identify and assess new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets for expansion.
  • Collaborate with the internal teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Develop suitable proposals and contracts for potential clients or partners.
  • Liaise with insurers to source quotations and place cover timeously
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in problem solving and decision making to drive results and achieve business objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously ensuring timely delivery of objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least Five (5) years proven work experience in a Business Development role, ideally within the insurance sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and development of client relationships in an intermediary or underwriting environment
  • COP Life Insurance
  • Experience in portfolio management
  • Knowledge of insurance legislation
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office
  • Strong sales skills with a proven track record in business development and achieving targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
  • Strategic thinking with focus on long-term growth.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in developing business models.
