Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and mentoring EMTs.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
  • Managing fleet and medical supplies.
  • Supporting quality assurance, audits, and risk management.
  • The incumbent will liaise with the Call Centre, healthcare partners, and aviation teams to ensure efficient incident coordination.
  • Contributing to strategic planning, business growth opportunities, and the marketing of EMS services.

Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) Degree in Emergency Medical Service or equivalent from a recognized institution or Diploma in Nursing
  • Must have a valid Class B driver’s license
  • Registered with Botswana Health Professional Council or Proof of registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana (NMCB)
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of EMS protocols and standards
  • Pre-hospital Emergency Service expertise at an ALS Level
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in flight operations or aeromedical evacuations
  • 8-10 years’ work experience as an ALS in a pre-hospital medical care and EMS Company
  • Experience applying quality assurance standards in the following areas:
    • Patient observation and safety
    • Standard Universal precautions
    • Airway and trauma management
    • Hygiene and infection control
    • Clinical documentation and reporting
