Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell the company’s range of agricultural products, including crop protection chemicals, fertilizers, seeds and related products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Provide technical advice and product recommendations to farmers and agricultural businesses.
- Conduct visits and product demonstrations.
- Prepare quotations, process sales orders and follow up on customer enquiries.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs.
- Collect customer payments where required and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Prepare weekly sales and activity reports.
- Participate in agricultural exhibitions, field days and promotional events.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable agricultural regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science or related field.
- Must have an agro-chemicals certificate.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in agricultural sales or a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of crop production, fertilizers, agrochemicals and agricultural practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
- Valid Class B driver’s licence.
