What are the common day-to-day responsibilities for this role in Botswana?

You would typically conduct market studies, analyse sector data, draft policy briefs, and support investigations into anti-competitive practices or consumer protection issues. The role also involves preparing reports for internal committees and external stakeholders such as government ministries and regulated businesses.

What is the work culture and what expectations should I have in a Botswana government authority like this?

Expect a formal, procedure-driven environment with emphasis on hierarchy, punctuality, and written communication. Deadlines tied to statutory or parliamentary processes are common, and you may need to balance independent research with collaborative review by senior officers.
