The positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify Inspecting lifting equipment, rigging gear, and tools prior to use and removing defective equipment from service.
  • Planning and executing lifting and rigging operations in accordance with approved lift plans, risk assessments, and statutory requirements.
  • Selecting, inspecting, and correctly using appropriate lifting equipment and rigging configurations for assigned tasks.
  • Guiding and signalling crane operators to ensure safe and controlled lifting operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, lift plans, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Completing job cards, inspection records, and lifting documentation accurately and timeously.
  • Complying with all applicable legal requirements, company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.
  • Inspecting lifting equipment, rigging gear, and tools prior to use and removing defective equipment from service.
  • Identifying unsafe conditions and behaviours during lifting and rigging activities and implementing preventative and corrective measures.
  • Providing on-the-job guidance and coaching to assistants and junior personnel involved in rigging and lifting activities.
  • Interfacing with maintenance, operations, engineering, and other departments to coordinate lifting activities and minimise operational disruptions.
  • Ensuring work is executed in line with planned schedules, quality standards, and operational requirements.
