ASSISTANT ANALYST – AML/CFT X2
Main Purpose of the Job
To assist in development and implementation of supervisory support strategies with regards to the Authority’s AML/CFT obligation to ensure it meets objectives of deterring financial crime.
Principal Accountabilities
• Interprets, local, regional and international anti-money laundering policies recommendations and develops strategies for monitoring compliance
• Assist in the development and implementation of business specific anti-money laundering compliance programme
• Assesses compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements and compiles reports for the attention of the Supervisor
• Assists in assessing the adequacy of the NBFI’s anti-money laundering compliance programmes
• Creates public awareness by training stakeholders on the implementation of the NBFIRA Act, Financial Intelligence Act and any other AML/CFT Legislation
• Responds to enquiries and queries from the Public and Stakeholders on the implementation of the NBFIRA Act, Financial Intelligence Act and any other AML/CFT Legislation
Position Requirements
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Management or relevant field in financial regulation
• Masters and experience will be an added advantage
• Membership to a professional internationally recognized institute will be an added advantage
