Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed annual and assignment-specific audit plans and maintain comprehensive audit working papers.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of operating policies, procedures, and internal control systems and provide recommendations, if any.
  • Conduct internal audit assignments as directed by the Head of Internal Audit.
  • Conduct stock counts and physical verification exercises, analyse stock variances, and report significant findings.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor the implementation of agreed audit recommendations and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports for management review.
  • Perform any other audit-related duties and assignments as may be delegated by the Head of Internal Audit.

Requirements

  • ACCA/CIMA/BICA fully or partly completed. Candidates with or without experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in using any accounting ERP
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Botswana and work away from the duty station when required.
  • Candidates residing in, or willing to relocate to, the Gaborone area will be given preference.
