ASSISTANT PROFESSIONAL GUIDES OR ASSISTANT PROFESSIONAL HUNTERS LICENSING EXAMINATION – Botswana Wildlife Training Institute

Applications are invited from both Botswana citizens and non-citizens to write Professional Hunter or Professional Guide or Specialist Licensing Examinations to be conducted in MAUN at Botswana Wildlife Training Institute from the 16th November 2026 – 20th November 2026. Applicants must submit personally signed and dated application letters indicating the category applied for. Group applications are not allowed.

Key Responsibilities

  • This is a direct entry level and one (1) year field experience OR Certificate from BQA accredited Guides/Hunters Training Institutions will be an added advantage.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years and above.
  • Submit certified copies of certificates, a minimum of BGCSE or Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC) or equivalent.
  • Submit two (2) different references stating guiding / hunting experience.
  • Submit a valid certified copy of Omang.
  • Submit a valid certified copy of Class B driver’s license
  • Submit proof of Weapon Handling experience if applying for Professional Hunters Examination.
