To enhance institutional capacity for timely and efficient implementation of Montreal Protocol-related activities, including project implementation, financial management, data reporting, stakeholder engagement, and awareness-raising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing annual work plans, budgets, and reports for projects under the Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer
  • Support implementation of training workshops for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) technicians, customs, and enforcement officers.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and timely reporting to the Ozone Secretariat and the Multilateral Fund.
  • Facilitate stakeholder consultations, awareness campaigns, and World Ozone Day events.
  • Support enforcement of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) Regulations and monitoring of import/export licenses.
  • Integrate gender considerations in all project activities and maintain sex-disaggregated participation data.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the National Ozone Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics with Meteorology or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in project implementation or financial administration
  • Knowledge of Botswana Government financial procedures and environmental governance will be an added advantage

Salary

P10, 500.00 per month
