The University is looking for qualified and experienced individuals for the below stated positions:
The position is based at BIUST Campus, Palapye.

To teach and educate undergraduate and graduate students in an academic discipline and to build the knowledge base of the discipline through research and publication.
To administer teaching and research activities within the discipline of Chemical Engineering.
To play a leading role in improving the teaching and research infrastructure of the Department, Faculty and University.
To be active in some form of professional service.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • MSc (Eng) or MEng degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • BEng (Hons) OR BSc (Eng) in Chemical Engineering.
  • Must be registered with ERB.
  • Registered with Botswana Qualification Authority as assessor and moderator.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years post-doctoral experience in teaching at tertiary level in any of the following fields: Process Modelling, Simulation & Optimization; Plant & Equipment Design and Chemical Engineering Design Project.
  • At least six (6) years post-doctoral experience in either teaching/lecturing/research or industry experience in relevant field or discipline, at least four (4) of which must be in Graduate supervision including successful doctoral students.
  • Experience in teaching at tertiary level for at least three (3) years.
  • Sustained record of peer-reviewed publications and other research output, with a minimum of 16 peer-reviewed publications of ISI journal within the last 6 years.
  • Experience of obtaining external research funding.
