Requirements
- PhD in Physics from a recognized institution with specialization in Complex Systems focusing on condensed matter physics.
- At least 6 years’ experience after graduating with a PhD degree in either teaching/ lecturing/ research or industrial experience in a Physics related field or discipline, at least 4 of which must be in Graduate supervision including successful doctoral students.
- Experience in teaching at tertiary level for at least 3 years.
- A track record of successful research supervision at all levels including doctoral level.
- A national and international record of excellence in research and publication. Record of recent/ continuing publications (minimum of 16 peer-reviewed publications in Scopus or Web of Science indexed journals).
- Record of obtaining substantial research funding.
- Experience of conducting administrative duties efficiently and effectively, and in the development/ revision of teaching curricula, programmes and qualifications.
- Evaluation of Qualifications (BQA).
- Registration as Assessor (BQA).
- Registration as Moderator (BQA).
