Key Responsibilities

• Determining customer requirements as per scope of work and proposing customer care options.
• Ensuring the smooth running of all bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Monitoring inventory levels, selecting and purchasing stock and other supplies, and conducting regular stock checks to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
• Maintain budgetary constraints and monitor costs effectively.
• Participate in creating beverage and food menus sold at the bar.
• Creating weekly staff schedules (rotas) to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and managing leave requests (sick leave, holidays).
• Ensure weekly bar stock count, prepare stock sheets and produce timely report.
• Leading and supervising the bar team, providing guidance and support, and conducting performance management.
• Appropriately delegates tasks to staff.
• Trains and when necessary, disciplines staff.
• Ensuring that all necessary licenses for alcohol sales and operations are current and displayed as required by Botswana legislation.
• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• You may be assigned to any other duty by management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Check the quality of meals before serving the clients.
• Guide the bar staff for better quality service delivery

Requirements

• certificate in tourism & hospitality or equivalent.
• Certificate in procurement and supply.
• 5 years, including supervisory experience. Proven track record of Bar supervision.
