To assist with Fabricating, welding of plant components.
Key Responsibilities
- Measures, fabricate and assembles parts and welds none critical items.
- Study blueprints to determine locations, relationships or dimensions of parts.
- Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts i.e., safety valves/regulators using torches, jacks, power saws, welding equipment etc.
- Weld and fabricate metal components.
- Layout plate, steel sheets, or other heavy metal and locate and mark bending and cutting lines using protractors, compasses and drawing instruments or templates.
- Straighten or reshape bent pressure vessel plates or structure parts, using hammers, jacks or torches.
- Install refractory bricks or other heat resistant materials in fire boxes of pressure vessels.
- Assist with housekeeping in area of responsibility.
Requirements
- O-level certificate plus NCC in Welding & Fabrication or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in a mining industry
